Toughest Day in Learning Persian (Fārsī)
Today had to be one of the toughest days for learning Persian (Fārsī). I felt completely lost. In my search for how to talk about hobbies properly, I came across videos that offered very little guidance on pronunciation. While it was frustrating, I just kept trying to put something together so I could at least list my hobbies. I had to go from figuring out how to write it in Persian (Fārsī), to finding a way to read it (romanization), and finally, after romanization, to pronounce it. Maybe I don’t have to do it this way, but it’s what works for me.

I usually stay away from message boards, but I subscribed to the Quora Persian Language Feed in hopes that for the remainder of the challenge I can ask questions to learn colloquial Persian (Fārsī). Nothing beats asking native speakers the questions that are usually left unanswered in books and YouTube channels.

Even though the books I’ve purchased to learn Persian (Fārsī) are pretty good, something does get lost. I want to learn how to say a phrase in several ways so I don’t sound like a robot.
I like pizza.
Pizza is good.
I mean, who talks like that?
I’m going to keep looking because I owe it to myself and this beautiful language.
