Brazilian Portuguese Language Learning Links
- Ba Ba Dum – interactive flashcards available for several languages.
- Babbel
- BBC Languages – Portuguese – this is for European Portuguese, but I thought I'd include it anyway. Although it's no longer being updated, it remains a valuable resource.
- Easy Languages – Brazilian Portuguese – “Learn language from the streets!” They have other languages available. It's one of my favorite YouTube channels.
- italki – perfect for a more personalized language learning experience. They also have an app and you can pay per lesson!
- Linguanaut: Learn Portuguese – another free language resource with other languages available.
- Learn Portuguese with Portuguese Pod 101 – FREE content on YouTube; paid subscription for their web and apps. I LOVE THIS! Rather than wander aimlessly through YouTube, you can learn Brazilian Portuguese! They often have live feeds, which are awesome and mobile apps for both iOS and Android devices. Make sure to check out their site also and sign up for the word of the day email to get your vocabulary skills up.
- Pimsleur – language immersion course. A bit pricey, but well worth it!
- Priberam Dictionary – monolingual dictionary. Perfect for immersion!
- Pronunciator – check your local library to see if they have this available. My local library replaced Mango Languages with this software. Pretty decent. FREE
- Street Smart Brazil – FREE content; paid lessons and translation. I follow them on Facebook and I find that I learn so much about Brazilian culture, customs, and etiquette. On their site, they have a Portuguese Starter Kit to get you going.
- Tá Falado: Brazilian Portuguese Pronunciation for Speakers of Spanish Podcast – FREE – 46 lessons in all provided to you by the University of Austin.

Learn A Language Through Music
Português Brasileiro, why I didn't start learning sooner is beyond me. My first encounter with Brazilian Portuguese came from Bossanova music and church. I learned through singing and picked it up a lot quicker. Quando a vida te der limões, faça uma caipirinha.
