DAY 23: #31DayAspiringPolyglot Challenge – Learning Persian (Fārsī)

Negation in Persian
Oh dear, this got ugly fast! I know that with practice it will get better. WOOSAH!
Verbs are negated with the particle «na» and in Persian (Fārsī; spoken in Iran) «ne» for the imperfect particle mi.
raftam → I went →naraftam → I did not go- miravam → I go →
ne miravam → I don't go
…but wait there's more!
With the verb budan (to be), negation in the present tense is replaced with ni +
Did you get all that? Well, neither did I! Time to invest in a good grammar book! I did find a Persian (Fārsī) language book in French. You can download it here.
