First time cruiser? Or a vet that keeps forgetting to pack certain items? I got you. Don't be stuck in the middle of nowhere without your essentials again!

For your home away from home

Air Freshener

I like to bring a 2oz bottle of homemade lavender mist (20-30 drops of lavender or any essential oil you’d like and fill up the rest with water.)

Bluetooth Speaker

Perfect for having tunes playing while you get ready or to enjoy music in your cabin.

Extra hangers

I got three measly hangers. Not much I could do with that.

Hair dryer and/or flat iron/curling iron

This is one where it can be hit or miss. I didn’t have a hair dryer in the room

Power strip extension cord

This may help if you aren’t traveling alone and must keep your charging item within reach.

Sleeping eye mask and earplugs

You want to sleep, but your roomie wants to party like it’s on sale for $19.99.

Tablet or iPad

Before leaving the house, download some books, games, and apps that can be used offline.  If you have a Netflix account, download some content.

Watch

Yes, a watch. Set it to the ship’s time or get left behind.

For port days and excursions

Beach towel

Camera

Flip-flops

Carry a pair in your bag or backpack if you plan to chill at the beach.  You don’t want to end up paying $20 for sandals later!

Folding hand fan

Hand sanitizer

Pocket tissues

Power bank

If you’re taking pictures with your smartphone, it’s an obvious choice. Don’t forget to bring your charging cord with an adapter, too in case you find an outlet.

Reusable water bottle

Scrunchie/hair clip/hair tie

Slim wallet/card holder

Only bring the essentials for the day.

Small notepad and pen/pencil

Sometimes technology fails us. This is a no-brainer. Write down directions, take down a phone number, etc…

Sunglasses

Sunscreen and/or sunhat

Swimsuit coverup (optional)

Waterproof beach bag or backpack with a detachable accessories pouch

In other words, something you don’t mind hauling around. I prefer the Longchamp Le Pliage bag. The pouch can house loose change and money.

Around the ship

Cash

Yes, your credit card is already linked to your Sail and Sign card, but you’ll need some green if you want to play in the casino.

Lanyard

Never forget your sail and sign card again.

Clutch

Enough for your phone, a slim wallet, and maybe a tube of lipstick.

Clothing

Comfortable shoes

Flip-flops won’t do if you’re heading out to explore! Test them out and ensure you can walk in them before you bring them!

Dress shoes (optional)

Sandals

Trainers/tennis shoes

Formal attire (optional)

If you plan on dressing up for dinner or theme nights, don’t forget to make room for your tux or gown.

Jeans

Hoodie/sweatshirt — OR— Jacket

Pants

Linen is your BFF.

Don’t want to wear pants?

Maxi dress(es)

Life saver! If you bring a dark-colored one (i.e., navy or black), you can dress it up or down!

Skirts

Scarf

Shorts

Socks

Swimsuit or swim trunks

Tank tops

T-shirts

Undergarments

…or go commando.  You’re on vacation!

Toiletries

Body wash or soap

Chapstick

Conditioner

Lotion

Lint Roller

Mini first aid kit

  • Allergy medicine
  • Antacid
  • Aspirin
  • Bandages
  • Neosporin
  • Non-drowsy Dramamine
  • Other medication
  • Throat Lozenges
